Trip Information
Group Size: How Many Participants Will Be on My Tour?

We believe that small groups enhance your experience. Our tours have 6 to 12 participants, allowing for personalized attention and a deeper connection with the destination. Smaller groups enable us to visit hidden gems and engage in activities inaccessible to larger groups.

Our tours are managed by a dedicated Tour Manager, who ensures everything operates smoothly and can assist with any unexpected issues.

You’ll have an Expert Tour Leader or Local Guide who is responsible for your daily experiences. They bring each destination to life with their knowledge and passion. The Tour Manager and Guide may sometimes be the same person, but they are usually distinct roles to ensure personalized attention and smooth logistics.

We also work with local specialists—from culinary experts and cultural historians to artists and artisans—ensuring that each experience feels enriching, immersive, and authentic. Your guide will handle the details, provide meaningful insights, and help you connect with the essence of each place you visit.

Our tours bring together curious and open-minded travelers from all walks of life. The diversity in background, experience, and perspective adds something special to every journey. Whether traveling solo, with a partner, or with friends, you will be part of a welcoming group that shares a love for discovery and connection.

An adult must accompany travelers under 18.

Please note: While there is no upper age limit, some trips may involve walking or light hiking. We recommend being in good health and comfortable with the physical aspects of the itinerary.

Our tours are not fully wheelchair accessible, but we are working to offer more accessible experiences. Please reach out with specific needs; we will guide you on the best way forward.

Mi Bella Mondo welcomes everyone with open arms. We are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all our travelers, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. We respect local customs and laws but strive to ensure that all travelers feel safe and respected. If you encounter inappropriate behavior, please inform your guide or us immediately, and we will address it.

We suggest packing light, practical luggage that you can easily carry alone. Our tours often involve walking and switching between different modes of transport, so we recommend opting for a small rolling suitcase or a sturdy backpack. This will help ensure your journey is smooth and free from excess baggage. See packing list.

If you plan to arrive before your tour begins or stay longer, we will send you hotel information about 60 days before departure. You can then book extra nights directly with the hotel, extending your time at the destination.

Yes! Many travelers join solo, and our tours are perfect for connecting with like-minded individuals. Whether you’re a first-time traveler or enjoy meeting new people, our group dynamic nurtures lasting friendships. Solo travelers consistently discover a welcoming environment.

The tour price does not include flights, but we will give you details about the airports you will use. Once you’ve booked your flights, please contact us with any travel-related questions.

We make every effort to ensure our tours run as scheduled. However, in rare instances, unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment may necessitate the cancellation of a tour. Some tours have a minimum participant requirement to operate. We will notify you once we reach this minimum to confirm the tour’s progress. We will inform you at least 60 days before the tour’s start date if the minimum is not reached. In the event of a cancellation, you will receive a full refund of all payments, including deposits and balances, or you may transfer your booking to a future tour. Please see the Booking Terms and Conditions for more information.

When you book a tour with us, you’ll book a shared room. We will pair you with a fellow traveler of the same gender if you go alone. If you would like to be paired with a friend or partner, please just let us know in advance. For those with special rooming preferences, such as gender identity concerns, please reach out, and we will work with you to ensure your comfort.

If you’d like a private room, we offer it for an additional fee on a first-come, first-served basis. You can select this option when booking.

Yes! We understand the importance of privacy, and you can book a private room for an additional fee, subject to availability. You can select this option when booking; however, please note that in some cases, the “private” room may consist of two single beds pushed together.

Daily Activities
Will I receive more detailed information about my tour?

You will get all the essential details regarding your upcoming adventure 30 to 60 days before your tour departs. This will include information about your accommodation(s), local currency, packing tips, the outlet adapter you may need, Wi-Fi and phone service during your trip, and details about the WhatsApp group for your tour. Additionally, we will provide airport and other helpful resources to ensure you are fully prepared.

Absolutely! We believe in allowing you to explore your destination in a way that feels right for you. If there’s an activity you’d prefer to skip, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some free time or explore other options on your own. We will provide suggestions for things to do, and your guide will always be there to offer recommendations.

Of course! While we plan exciting itineraries, personal time to recharge and explore is essential. Every tour includes free time to enjoy at your own pace—discovering a café, wandering the streets, or soaking in the atmosphere. The free time varies by tour, but we ensure that there is enough time for your interests.

We strike a balance between group activities and personal freedom. While we encourage camaraderie and shared experiences, there’s no pressure to socialize non-stop. This is your experience, and we respect your need for adventure and solitude.

Many of our tours involve walking to fully immerse you in the destination, with walking tours lasting between 2 and 3 hours. While the walks are generally not strenuous, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and preparing to spend time on your feet. If a tour includes a hike, we will note it in the details, and you will always have the option to skip any physically demanding activities. If you have mobility concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us before booking, and we can provide specific information about the physical requirements for your tour.

During your free time, the choice is yours! If you’re unsure what to do, your guide will be there to help with suggestions and tips. Whether you want to explore alone or participate in a local activity, we encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and discover. After booking your tour, you’ll receive a list of additional activities you can enjoy during your free time, providing you with plenty of options for personal adventures.

We strive to adhere to the planned itinerary, but travel can sometimes be unpredictable—weather, traffic, or unexpected opportunities may necessitate minor adjustments. Your guide will communicate any changes and ensure everything is as rewarding and memorable as possible. We also prefer to keep things flexible if a spontaneous adventure arises, such as a surprise invitation to a local celebration. After all, those unplanned moments often create the best memories!

Tipping guidelines are provided for each destination on the individual tour pages. While we cover tips for you wherever possible, there will be moments when you can decide what to give based on the service you received. If you’ve enjoyed the service from your tour leader or local guides at the end of your tour, leaving a tip is a lovely way to show appreciation (though it’s never compulsory). The welcome meeting on your first day is also an excellent opportunity to ask your guide about tipping customs for local services, including accommodations and meals.

At Mi Bella Mondo, sustainability is important to us, and we strive to make responsible travel choices throughout our tours. We offer the option to contribute towards carbon offsets during the booking process. When possible, we recycle, encourage reusable water bottles, and avoid activities that harm the environment or do not benefit local communities. If an animal activity is included in the tour, we ensure that it is ethical and supported by reputable organizations prioritizing animal welfare.

Health and Safety
I have a food allergy. How can I make sure I’m accommodated?

Your well-being is important to us. Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions before your trip. We’ll ensure that our local partners and restaurants meet your nutritional needs.

Yes, we require all travelers to have travel insurance for the duration of the tour. This policy protects you from unexpected cancellations, medical issues, or travel delays. Proof of insurance will be required before departure—please ensure that coverage is in place, as you won’t be able to join the tour without it.

We recommend Faye Travel Insurance for comprehensive and traveler-friendly coverage. As a Faye Travel Advisor, we’re proud to partner with a provider that offers easy digital claims, trip protection, and excellent service.

So that you know, Mi Bella Mondo is NOT an insurance provider and does not sell travel insurance. The insurer handles all coverage directly.

Some countries may have vaccination requirements for entry. If any vaccinations are needed for your tour destination, we will include that information in your trip itinerary. We also recommend checking official health guidelines for the countries you visit to stay informed of any additional recommendations.

Our tours are open to travelers, and we monitor evolving regulations. If new guidelines arise, we’ll update you promptly. We’ll guide you to nearby testing locations if COVID testing is needed for entry or exit. You are responsible for the cost and booking of your tests.

If you test positive for COVID during the trip, we ask that you self-isolate to ensure the safety of other travelers, our guides, and the local community. You will need to arrange for your accommodation at your own expense. Since we require travel insurance, your policy should cover these additional costs. Please reach out if you need more details or have concerns—we are here to support you.

Logistics and Payment
Passport Renewal: What You Need to Know

To ensure smooth travel, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the end of your tour. If your passport expires sooner, we strongly recommend renewing it as soon as possible—consider expediting the process if necessary.

We request a copy of your passport to expedite and simplify hotel check-ins and to book the internal flights for the tour, if necessary. Keeping your details on file allows the hotel to check you in immediately. Rest assured, we will securely delete this information right after your tour.

Visa requirements vary based on your nationality and the countries included in your tour. For destination-specific visa information, please refer to the tour details provided on our website. If a visa is required, you must obtain it and any other necessary travel documents in advance. Mi Bella Mondo does not assist with visa applications. Please note that failure to secure the appropriate visa(s) may result in your inability to join the tour, and in such cases, Mi Bella Mondo cannot provide a refund for any payments made.

Yes, all participants are required to sign a liability waiver as part of the booking process. This waiver is included with your registration documents and must be completed when you submit your deposit. It ensures that you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with travel and participation in the tour. Your reservation is not considered confirmed until the signed waiver is received.

We recommend using an ATM at your destination for the best exchange rates and minimal hassle. However, check with your home bank regarding foreign transaction fees. If ATMs are not an option, consider bringing U.S. dollars or local currency (where applicable) to exchange at local money exchange booths or banks.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund for the price difference if the tour price decreases after you’ve booked.

We can only apply one discount or promotional code per booking, so choose the best option!

To secure your spot, you must pay a deposit of 25% of the tour price. The deposit is refundable for up to 14 days after booking.

Yes, all prices on our website are listed in U.S. dollars.

Absolutely! We use SquadTrip as our booking platform, which provides flexible payment plan options for our travelers. This feature lets you spread your payments based on your tour’s timeline. During checkout, you’ll see the available payment plans. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll gain access to your personal SquadTrip account, where you can easily track payments, update your information, and manage your payment methods.

Each tour requires a different minimum number of participants, which will be listed in the tour details. As soon as the minimum requirement is met, we will notify you. Additionally, we will send a confirmation email at least 90 days before the tour begins, giving you ample time to book your flights and take care of any other requirements for your trip.

Deposits are generally non-transferable to other tours. However, if you have a special circumstance, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we will review your situation.

We understand that plans may change! Deposits are refundable if canceled within 14 days of booking. However, deposits become non-refundable once the tour departure date is within 90 days. For full details on payment and cancellations, please look at the Refund Policy in our Booking Terms & Conditions, which you can find here.
