Cristy’s career began in Information Technology, where she honed skills in strategy, problem-solving, and large-scale system implementation. But her personal life was defined by extensive travel and a deep commitment to building genuine connections with people and cultures worldwide.

Before having kids, she traveled the globe extensively as a solo adventurer: no agenda, no guidebook, immersing herself in local culture and living with families in the communities she visited. That experience exposed her to some of the world’s most stunning places, and the urgent need to protect them. She realized her true calling was connecting these two passions: using her strategic background to build a real system for change.

Based in California, Cristy is happily married with two sons who’ve been traveling with her since the day they were born. Her wanderlust began with her father, a merchant marine whose stories of adventure planted the seed for a life of exploration,  a seed that eventually grew into Mi Bella Mondo.
