ABOUT MI BELLA MONDO
From Solo Traveler to Global Change-Maker
What began as a passion for exploring the world evolved into a mission to create meaningful connections through travel that benefits people, culture, and conservation.
What began as a passion for exploring the world evolved into a mission to create meaningful connections through travel that benefits people, culture, and conservation.
The story of Mi Bella Mondo (meaning “My Beautiful World”) didn’t start in an office; it began with the stories of a merchant marine father and a single road trip through Italy in a tiny Renault Le Car. It was there, savoring fresh pasta in a small village, that our founder, Cristy, first discovered La Dolce Vita and a profound connection to the world’s cultures.
For years, Cristy traveled the globe, navigating the mountains of Nepal, the deserts of Chile, and the chaotic beauty of India without a guidebook or a set itinerary. Through decades of global exploration as a solo traveler, wife, and mother, she learned that the most transformative moments don’t happen at famous landmarks, but in the “margins”, the strangers who open their homes, the families who share their meals, and the local stewards who protect their land.
After a successful career in Information Technology, Cristy realized her true calling: to use her strategic background to build a better model for global travel. She saw that travel has the power to be more than just a vacation; it can be a verifiable force for good.
Mi Bella Mondo is a social enterprise dedicated to turning global curiosity into local action. We believe that travel should leave places better than we found them, and we invite you to walk with us as we empower the women, youth, and communities who are the true stewards of our beautiful world.
OUR NEW LOGO
Most people notice the logo before they ever hear the story behind Mi Bella Mondo. That’s fitting, because the M is intentional and every part of it means something.
At first glance, it’s simply the letter M. Look a little closer, and you’ll notice the strokes never lift. It is one continuous movement, no break, no restart. That was deliberate. To me, it represents a life of curiosity and discovery. Travel isn’t a series of disconnected trips; it’s one continuous journey where every experience shapes the next.
Then there’s the dot. The M could continue forever, but the dot gently brings it to a reflection. Here. This place. This moment. Because while travel is about moving through the world, the moments that truly change us happen when we slow down enough to be present. Those are the moments we remember long after we’ve returned home.
One of my favorite details is that if you turn the logo upside down, it becomes a W.
M for Mi Bella Mondo.
W for The Way — A Responsible Way to Travel.
The color was chosen with equal intention. It isn’t simply orange. It reminds me of candlelight flickering at dusk, saffron robes, marigolds at a festival, sunlit desert roads, and the warmth of people I’ve met around the world. Together, they represent the energy, hope, and connection this beautiful world has brought to my own journey. I hope Mi Bella Mondo will inspire others to discover that for themselves.
The shape isn’t perfectly geometric, either. It was drawn by hand because the most meaningful journeys are never perfect. They are personal, spontaneous, and deeply human, just like the friendships, conversations, and experiences that have inspired Mi Bella Mondo from the beginning.
This logo represents more than a brand. It represents a philosophy that continues to guide every journey we create.

Mi Bella Mondo was never about the destination. It’s about our journey and how we live. It is found in the “once-in-a-lifetime” energy of everyday milestones: raising a family, a graduation, a birthday, an anniversary. These moments are the heritage of our personal lives.
When we treat the small moments, the greeting of a next-door neighbor, the shared wisdom of a Maasai or Batwa elder, with the same reverence we give to a rare wildlife encounter, the world naturally expands. We realize that we are all stewards of this planet and its future.
“People often ask me why I chose the name Mi Bella Mondo. In Italian, it translates to ‘My Beautiful World.’ I see it through the lens of my own life, in the small and big wins of every single day. This is my beautiful world. I invite you to make it ours.”
Curiosity opens the door. Responsibility guides the journey. Impact is the outcome.
